NOTE: this is from the Majestic Authentic Flex Base collection, this is the real deal. This is a team issue jersey. There is writing on the collar and that is because each jersey had to go through an approval process to make sure that it was OK to ship to MLB's specific team. Majestic, founded by Faust Capobianco, which was located in Bangor, PA, recently merged with fanatics and moved to Easton PA, I don't know all the details on the acquisition.

As you can see the jersey was approved for the big leagues, by MC ( i'm not sure but I think he had a wife or daughter named Maria, Maria Rose Fashions was their operating name, being very involved with the sewing/production department , most likely, she was the final sign off on the jerseys ) on the inside collar, MC initialed in silver sharpie on the inside collar.

These jerseys were being made in preparation for the upcoming 2016 season. I'll say it again these jerseys were being made, for the team for the 2016 season, not tagged for retail. They would send them down to preseason get them fitted up and then create the uniform. They always had to have a surplus in stock, because of so many intangibles during the season.

So basically you are buying a piece of baseball history, the company that had the contract to make uniforms for Major league baseball, the owners initialed approval, as they were very involved in the sewing / production end of day-to-day operations.. not just some jersey off the shelf or from somebody's collection that they bought at Dick's and there's 50,000 of them. Not the case here. This is real baseball history, from where the modern day has started, Majestic. We were lucky and proud to have that be right here in our backyard.
