This 1976 United States One Dollar coin was issued to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of American Independence (1776–1976). The commemorative design features the Liberty Bell with the Moon, symbolising both American history and space exploration.












The obverse displays the portrait of President Dwight D. Eisenhower designed by Frank Gasparro, while the reverse features the Liberty Bell with the Moon behind it and the dual date 1776–1976.
