Original handwritten Spanish note attributed to Ernesto “Che” Guevara, dated 31 December 1958, from the final day of the Cuban Revolution.
The note references Column No. 8 and Rafael Rodríguez (“El Vaquerito”), placing it in direct revolutionary context at the moment Batista’s regime collapsed.
Included with the note is a period Che Guevara photograph bearing Estudios Korda studio stamp to reverse, included as a contextual companion piece.
Provenance / Research
The handwriting and document were reviewed via an academic contact at the University of Glasgow. A researcher familiar with Che Guevara manuscripts stated that the handwriting appeared consistent with genuine examples he had studied, while noting some normal historical/interpretive questions regarding wording and context.
