In 1972, the "Mama" pot, designed by the renowned Italian designer Enzo Mari, was released. A reissue, the Papa Line (with a glass lid), was released in the 2000s.
The reissue retains the distinctive handle shape of the Mama pot, but the lid has been changed from cast iron to glass, and the exterior bottom of the pot is now painted.
