1750 George II Silver Shilling – Great Britain – Old Head Type
For sale is a 1750 George II silver shilling, Old Head type, struck in sterling silver.
This is a circulated example with a clear portrait, readable legends, and a well-presented reverse with crowned cruciform shields and central garter star. The coin shows normal age-related wear and some softness to the detail, as expected for an 18th-century silver shilling of this type.
The surfaces have an attractive old silver tone, with small marks and natural colour variation visible. In my opinion this is a collectable example with pleasing overall eye appeal for the grade.
