An exquisite set of four (4) vintage hand-painted porcelain cabinet plates, each a one-of-a-kind work of art. These plates were hand-decorated by artist Grace Sanborn between 1966 and 1971 on premium-quality European porcelain blanks.

Design & Artistry:

Two (2) Purple Violet Plates: Features vibrant clusters of hand-painted violets, signed and dated 1971 on the reverse.

Two (2) Pink & White Wild Rose Plates: Features delicate rose blossoms. One plate includes a charming handwritten Christmas dedication on the back: "To: Jo and Fred, Merry Christmas 1966," and is signed by the artist.

The Overglaze Technique used by Sanborn allows you to see and feel the fine texture of the artist's brushstrokes against the glossy porcelain finish.

Premium Manufacturing Features:

Intricate Scalloped Edges: Each plate features a beautiful scalloped rim with an embossed "U-scroll" relief border built into the mold.

Factory-Drilled Display Holes: The 4.75" foot rim of each plate contains two factory-fired mounting holes. These were drilled before the plates were glazed, making them ready for secure wall hanging or cabinet display without external metal hangers.

High-Quality Translucent Porcelain: Consistent with premium blanks from makers like Haviland Limoges or Royal Austria.
