1758 George II Silver Shilling – Great Britain – Old Head Type
For sale is a genuine-looking 1758 George II silver shilling, Old Head type, struck in sterling silver.
This is a circulated example with good remaining detail for the type, including a clear portrait, readable legends, and a strong reverse with crowned cruciform shields and central garter star.
The coin has bright silver surfaces, with some light marks, small spots and normal age-related wear visible under close inspection. In my opinion it presents well for an 18th-century circulated silver coin.
