This was purchased about 25 years near the Aburi Gardens in Ghana, West Africa. The Ghanaians who purchased it for me refused at first to buy it because they thought I would worship it and they were Christians. They believed it was an authentic idol. It is definitely an interesting piece with the egg in the stomach and the imbedded cedi shells.
