     The large book is bound with complete issues of "Experiment Station Work" from the US Department of Agriculture Farmers' Bulletin, Numbers 1 through 27, except nos. 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15.  That is 20 total issues.  It is approx. 600 pages long.  It includes "Experiment Station Work" issues from May, 1897, to 1904.

     The issues were prepared in the USDA Office of Experiment Stations.  (A. C. True , Director, and Hon. James Wilson, US Secretary of Agriculture).  It is well-illustrated, with numerous engraved drawings and charts.  

     It includes hundreds of United States agricultural experiments from 1897 - 1904, including many kinds of fruit, vegetables, livestock, flowers, trees, water, dairy products, soil, diseases, insects, etc..  It features experiments in many different states.

     This is a vintage, 1st Edition bound book.  It is beautifully bound in leather, with beautiful, marbleized endpapers, gilded titles, and color-decorative paper-edges.about 600 pages ; approx. 9" x 6" x 1.5",  bound in leather, with beautiful, marbleized endpapers (see pic), gilded titles, and color-decorative paper-edges.

     Book was presented to its former owners from US Congressman John A. Sterling (1857 -- 1918; Republican from Illinois).
