This is the first edition of this book, printed before the Top Shelf edition in late 2004. I bought this from Runton after he had signed with Top Shelf, but before they republished his self-published volume. I assume he also did “The Way Home” as a separate comic before Top Shelf published it along with this book in their first volume, but I don't remember. This is signed by Runton with a quick Owly sketch in it. He personalized it to me because I bought this before my kids were born, otherwise it would have one of my kids names in it. They must have enjoyed the book at some point though, because it has a creased corner (see the photo).

CONDITION NOTES:
NM: Nice copy, but it has a couple flaws. There is a light crease on the bottom right of the cover. The top edge is very lightly dented, probably from having something set on top of it at some point. (Grading is based on a careful examination of the flaws.)
