Kandimbong (also spelled Kandimbwag or Kandimboang) figures are ancestral carvings from the Lower Sepik River area of Papua New Guinea, especially around the Murik Lakes and Angoram. They represent clan ancestors or cultural heroes and are understood as objects that can house or channel ancestral spirits.
