Vintage 1978 Mattel Battlestar Galactica 12" inch Cylon Centurion figure with box- figure is in near-pristine mint condition, never played with, tight joints and the light STILL works in the helmet and laser gun! (batteries needed) All parts are present and accounted for including the antenna and translucent laser gun part, which is often broken due to its fragility. The chest plate is also in great shape and is often missing due to it not being anchored/glued to the body (it just snaps to the circular light section on the Cylons chest).
Box is in solid shape for its age, colors still vivid and unfaded (with that beautiful classic Mattel painted art!), with some obvious signs of wear and tear (see photos for complete visual assessment), including Christmas wrapping paper/tape remnants from that Christmas morning of 1978 (I'm the 2nd owner of this item, a toy that I purchased years ago from a friend who received it for Christmas when he was 12). Overall, this box is in better shape than most out there, but certainly not mint. Also includes the original paper instructions and red box insert. Cellophane is original and Clear, with some mild scuffing but no tears and had been re-taped years ago with double-sided tape by my friend to the inside of the box, as these often came loose soon after purchase (Note: non-original plastic replacement tie pictured with red box insert not included, as it has been lost over the past few days after taking photos, however, any kind of tie or ribbon can be used to secure figure to backing insert if one wishes to do so).
The Cylon itself and the box will be well packed and reinforced for its shipping journey (in what will be a fairly large box- this is a big item) and shipped USPS Priority Mail, fully insured, for FREE within the auction price.
This is a great looking vintage Battlestar piece and 12" Cylons are getting harder to come by complete and unplayed with these days (Mattels BSG ships and smaller figures were more durable for kids then), especially with a good condition original box.
