Vintage Wilesco stationary live steam engine, made in Germany. This model features a grey metal base, brick-pattern boiler house/firebox, polished metal boiler, red flywheel, piston/cylinder assembly, red control handles, and original blue Wilesco decal on the base.
The underside is stamped “Made in Germany.” Based on the design and layout, this appears to be a Wilesco D8 / early D8-style stationary model steam engine. Great piece for a Wilesco, Mamod, Jensen, live steam, model engineering, or vintage toy steam engine collection.
Approximate size: about 10.25" long x 8" wide x around 6.25" tall to the top fitting, based on the measuring tape photos.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with age-related wear, scratches, tarnish/oxidation, residue, dust, discoloration from use, and general handling wear. The boiler/firebox area shows signs of prior firing/use. The tall chimney/stack appears to be missing. I have not tested this with fuel, water, steam pressure, or operation, so it is being sold as untested. Please review all photos closely for condition, completeness, and included parts.
Includes the Wilesco steam engine shown only. No box, manual, fuel tablets, chimney, or extra accessories included unless shown in photos.
Great vintage German Wilesco live steam engine for display, restoration, parts, or possible operation after proper inspection by a knowledgeable hobbyist.
