I made it a point to state that I had it “professionally” installed because I highly recommend you do the same. I’m not sure what your pay grade is when it comes to electronics and installing car stereos but I thought mine was average enough to be able to do it and boy how wrong I was. Obviously I didn’t see the installation but I did remove it and to see that every wire was connected with the exception of 2 (Mute and ILL are pictured next to the antenna) soldered together, taped and factory harness removed to rewire. I realized I made the right decision. All functions on the stereo worked perfectly. More importantly everything on my car still worked. The detailed install schematics although very thorough makes it easier but still beyond my pay grade. I remember the good old days installing my cassette stereo with an Equalizer Booster (remember those) when there was only 4-5 wires maybe and you had enough room in the dash for a football.
