Black leather boards show heavy rubbing, surface scuffs, and edge and corner wear with areas of exposed board. Spine leather is worn with creasing along the raised bands and small chips at the head and tail, though the Sainte Bible title in gilt remains legible. All edges gilt with some dulling and scattered small spots. Endpapers are heavily foxed, and interior pages display age toning and scattered foxing but remain legible and generally clean without writing or highlighting. Binding is slightly shaken from age yet remains secure, with the text block attached and no loose or missing pages.
