Up for sale is a 1958 National Geographic Society Atlas Folio. It is in acceptable vintage condition but it is missing 3 maps 61, 62 and 63 (Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean). The book measures 19 1/2 inches long, 14 inches wide and the spine width is approx. 1 1/2 inches. It is an oversized book and will make the shipping costs higher than usual due to size. I found this difficult to verify what maps were there. The inside front cover (see photo) has blank lines next to some numbers but when turning the pages in the atlas, the number occurs on an empty page. The list on the inside front cover is numbered to 65 but there are 14 blank lines (65-14=51). With the 3 missing maps the total of maps in this book is 48.
Condition Issues: Map #'s 61, 62 & 63 are missing. Two pages (North & South California) are not attached to a page. Some light brown spotting on undersides of some maps but do not affect the map itself. No rips or tears, no writing or creasing. Please see photos.
