FREQUENTLYASKED QUESTIONS:
How does card pricing
work?
We offer fair prices for
the card quality and are always willing to consider your best offer. Our
buy-it-now price is the first bid in an auction between you and us. Our
buy-it-now price is based on the average price from Greg Morris Cards auction
of similar grade for the past 90-days. If you see a card you like, please feel
free to make an offer, and create an auction between us. All reasonable offers
will be seriously considered. Our default position on offers is to try to
accept them if reasonable once we re-evaluate the recent Greg Morris Cards recent auction sold prices. If your offer is close but not close enough, we
will counter-offer you. If your offer is considered unreasonable (lowball)
offer, we will decline your offer.
What do your grades
mean?
Our grades follow the same
industry-accepted standards as PSA and SGC. Our grades are not professional grades as their purpose is to provide a buyer with information
on the general condition of the baseball card. For this reason, our grades are
made within a broad range and not specific grades.
We provide the general baseball card grade range in our listing title as a customer service for you as you do your card searches. The grade ranges in our listing titles are meant to allow customers to
quickly identify cards that might fit their needs and thereby allowing
them to spend time evaluating the high-resolution digital scans only for
those baseball cards that are within the general grade/condition range they are
looking to purchase. All general-purpose grading at the Value Baseball Card
eStore is done by one individual at the time the baseball card
goes into inventory making the grading process/results more consistent for
our repeat customers. Grading is very subjective. Our general-purpose grade
range within our listing titles is not meant to be a guarantee that this
card will grade professionally within the same grade range. There is no
guarantee that PSA, SGC, or other grading services will grade the
baseball card the same as us. In fact, there are situations where these
professional grading services receive the ?exact same baseball card? twice and
provide two different grades. For this reason, we don't buy or sell
professionally graded baseball cards. We use an Epson Perfection V600 Photo
scanner for our high-resolution digital scans within our listings so
you can make your own judgement on the quality, condition, and grade of the
baseball card. In fact, our Epson Perfection V600 Photo scan images
sometimes show us baseball card flaws not seen with the human eye.
The grades you see in our
listing titles are ranges. We primarily use four grade
ranges: (1) NM-MT+ to Gem Mint (card grade ranges between
8.5 and 10); (2) NM to NM-MT (card grade ranges between 6.5
and 8); (3) EX-EXMINT (card grade ranges between 4.5 and 6);
and (4) VG-VGEX (card ranges between 3 and 4). We do
not grade creased cards or those with substantial damage as
VG-VGEX, but instead label those cards as Low Grade.
What does Low Grade mean?
This is another way of
saying less than VG (3) or higher quality cards with
substantial damage. These are low quality cards. A collector
might buy as filler card to fill a hole in a set until a better copy is
found. Many of these cards exhibit substantial CREASING,MARKS/WRITING, PAPER-LOSS, RECOLORING, TRIMMING/CUTTING or other significant damage OR
alteration.
What is your return
policy?
No returns unless we sent
you the wrong baseball card (i.e., different card than what was included within
digital photo scan within listing). For returns of wrong shipped card, the
card(s) must be returned in the same condition as received. If you need to return
a card because we shipped the wrong card, we will cover all shipping costs.
What are my shipping
options?
The packaging and shipping
process for all purchases with a total purchase price greater than $150 will
be videotaped and will be available to the purchasers upon request. The
shipping options are as follows:
Free shipping on individual or combined orders over $100 shipped
to one location using USPS Ground Advantage. We offer $1.32 flat
rate shipping & handling for individual cards with a
single card value of up to $20 using eBay standard envelope. We offer $5.95 flat
rate shipping& handling to the continental USA for up to
40 individual cards purchased within a two (2) day period totaling
less than $100 using USPS Ground Advantage. Shipping for
other lots ranges from $8 to $30 depending on the size and
number of lots purchased.
Once you checkout and pay,
your order is processed for shipment and we cannot combine any additional items
you may purchase later. If you want to make multiple purchases within a
2-day period and combine your shipping, once you are finished shopping please message us with your intention. We'll combine your purchases and you will qualify for either
free shipping (if total purchase is over $100) or $5.95 combined S&H for up
to 40 individual cards (if total purchase is less than $100) within the
continental USA.
