The pitcher has a broad, rounded rim, a hand-applied handle with a slight curl, and a clean, functional shape typical of Kosta’s domestic glass from that period. It holds approximately 1 pint (2 cups) and works equally well as a creamer or small table pitcher.
It has been very lightly used and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The original label is no longer present, which is common with pieces from this period. This small hand-blown glass pitcher was purchased by me at the Kosta glassworks in Sweden in the 1970s. I stayed at the factory guest house and spent time in the workshop watching pieces like this being made, which gives a real appreciation for the craftsmanship behind what appears to be a simple form.
