Don't forget to clean the tone holes with the tone hole cleaner and finally wipe the instrument thoroughly with the other cloth. Polishing will make your instrument shine. How to Use and Explain the Alto Saxophone Care Kit Cleaning Swab - The cleaning swab is used by inserting it inside the instrument. 1. Slide the weight into the bell through the neck opening and gently pass the swab through. 2. Remove the neck and mouthpiece before cleaning the saxophone with the swab. Necking Cleaning Swab - An X-shaped swab used for the neck area. 1. Using a weighted string drop the weight from the end of the saxophone neck and pass the swab through. 2.
