Vintage 1901 Abyssinia Herbert Vivian Travel HC Maps Photos Ethiopia Illustrated

Blue cloth boards show heavy rubbing, soiling, edge wear, and frayed, bumped corners. Spine cloth is heavily worn with splits along the joints, losses at the head and tail, small holes, and dulled gilt titling. Front inner hinge is cracked and reinforced with tape, and the binding is shaken though the main text pages remain attached. Endpapers and text block are age-toned with scattered foxing, smudges, and small margin stains, and the title page has a chipped upper outer corner. Edges of some pages are rough, nicked, or lightly creased, and the folding map at the rear is creased with long tears and separation along several folds.
