Item Description:

This auction is for an old well used meat cleaver that was recently purchased from a local estate. It weighs 2 pound 7 ounces. It is stamped with F. Dick, Made in Germany, No 84, 1x70 and it has Schiff gut falsch marked on it. The cleaver blade edge measures 9" across. The blade does have a few edge dings on it. The top or back edge of the cleaver has numerous dents on it (see last 2 pictures). The metal shows wear from use and has scratches, dings and some tarnish. The wood handles show moderate to heavy wear with dents and dings and scuffs, The handle ends do show heavier wear. There are two small holes on one side of the handle, not sure what they were for (see picture 11).
