Biography: 

Jeanne Garant (American, b. 1946)

Jeanne Garant is an artist known for her abstract expressionism and printmaking. She was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, and studied at Rivier College, Nashua; George Mason University, Fairfax County, Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976; Northern Virginia Community College; the Art League School, Alexandria, Virginia; and the Corcoran School of Art, Washington, D.C. 

Her work has been exhibited widely at venues including the National Collage Society, Cleveland, Ohio; Sharon Arts Center, Peterborough, New Hampshire; Printmakers Exchange Exhibit, Belfast, Northern Ireland and Dublin, Ireland; National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland; and the Art Expo, New York City. Garant has a studio in the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Alexandria, Virginia, and lives in Arlington, Virginia.
