John Kerschbaum is in my all time top ten of funny cartoonists. He draws and writes hilarious (and hilariously dark) comics that never fail to amuse me and sometimes make me think I’ve seen a true comedy genius. If there were justice in the world The Wiggly Reader would be a title that people talk of with the same reverence they have for Ernie Bushmiller or Sergio Aragones or Evan Dorkin. Just damn perfect pages and insane gags, over and over again.
This is issues 1-3 of THE WIGGLY READER and a mini-comic that he included if you bought these as a set from his website. I bought multiples for friends at the time and ended up with one extra set. Dark, sometimes disturbing, and always funny, Kerschbaum made me laugh all over again when I read some gags when taking pictures.
