Fender Custom Shop Dual-Mag II Stratocaster pickups combine different types of Alnico magnets to produce a well-balanced tone with sparkling clear highs and rich lows. The bass strings (E6-G3) feature un-beveled Alnico 5 magnets while the treble strings (B2 and E1) utilize hand-beveled Alnico 2 magnets. Each pickup is also wrapped in copper shielding tape to reduce noise. The unique staggered design including a Low G magnet with a lower pole piece on the G3 string ensures balanced output on both wound and plain strings. The Alnico 5 magnet on the G3 string delivers a truly singing sound while the Alnico 2 magnets on the B2 and E1 strings are slightly longer than vintage specifications to balance the volume of each string. As its name suggests the Dual Mag II Strat pickup combines two types of magnets to achieve a clear and balanced sound.
