'Ann Hathaway Cottage' a beautiful framed original oil painting on canvas,

signed and titled by the Cotswold Artist Laurence Udall. 

Friend and contemporary of Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman.

The subject is Ann Hathaway's cottage, 

a stunning 500 year old example of a traditional English cottage, 

and the family home of William Shakespeare’s wife-to-be. 

The traditional cottage garden bursting with flowers, 

with vernacular black timber walls and thatched roof, 

a timeless scene of tranquility that hasn't changed in 500 years.

It comes mounted with an attractive gilt frame, 

 with a small hand written biography on the reverse, 

and comes with the original sales receipt from 2016, 

showing the original sale price of £1450.

Picture measures approximately 7.5 x 9.5" (19 x 24 cm's) 

with the framed size being 12.3 x 14.3" (31.3 x 36.4 cm's

 

Picture is in excellent condition, 

a little dust from display on the frame, 

but otherwise like new, as shown in the pictures.
