The 1969 Holden HT Monaro GTS 350, driven by Des West and Peter Brock, competed in the Hardie-Ferodo 500 at Bathurst, finishing third outright. The factory-backed Monaro was powered by a Chevrolet 350 V8 and, notably, this race marked Peter Brock’s first-ever Bathurst appearance, launching one of the greatest careers in Australian motorsport history.
