A Collings Offset & Arched Top 360, a world-class brand proudly based in Texas, has arrived in pristine mint condition with a serial number in the 9000s. Setup is now complete.

This particular guitar, with a serial number in the 9000s, was manufactured in 2009. It features a meticulously crafted one-piece arched top body and neck from thick Honduran mahogany.

The fingerboard is made of carefully selected rosewood, immediately recognizable as superior quality. From the low to high positions, a vivid stripe of light and dark runs, reminiscent of Jacaranda or Madagascar rosewood, demonstrating the high-quality materials Collings stockpiled at the time. While Madagascar rosewood was a possibility given it's a Collings, we couldn't confirm it, so we've identified it as rosewood.

The luxurious construction, carved from a single, seamless piece of wood, results in a rich, clear resonance and sustain. Furthermore, the back features contouring, maintaining the rich resonance of the arched top while achieving an exceptional, body-hugging feel.

And at a mere 3.3kg, it's incredibly appealing. The perfect design ensures that the weight balance remains even when held on your lap with both hands released.

The finish utilizes a technique commonly known as "Doghair." This special painting method deliberately leaves the deep "pores" (wood grain) of the premium mahogany wood unfilled, instead rubbing a high-contrast coloring agent (filler) into the grooves.

This creates a three-dimensional, noble look, reminiscent of a "black dog" with white hairs mixed in with its jet-black coat. It's a signature Collings custom finish that allows you to visually enjoy the beautiful wood grain, a testament to high-quality mahogany.

The pickups are Lollar mini-humbuckers, designed and developed by Bill Collings and Jason Lollar from the initial stages. Despite being a humbucker, the DC resistance is 5.99kΩ for the front pickup and 6.99kΩ for the rear pickup (measured by Jack).

Even single-coil enthusiasts will be satisfied with its crispness and the exquisitely controlled harmonics from the low frequencies. Furthermore, the low noise level, even at high gain settings, is astonishing. The impregnation treatment makes it highly resistant to feedback, resulting in a very refined and clear tone.

The hardware features a TonePros locking bridge and tailpiece. Secured to the studs with hex wrench screws, it provides direct vibration transmission and prevents accidental drop.

Condition:

It is in excellent condition, almost unused. There is one very slight dent, barely noticeable unless pointed out; otherwise, there are only minor scratches (buffing marks), which we believe are from the factory.

Instrumental Condition:

It is in impeccable condition. The neck is perfectly straight. The truss rod has ample adjustment range. There is no fret wear. The string height is set at 1.75mm for the 6th string and 1.4mm for the 1st string (at the 12th fret) using Elixir 09-42 gauge strings. There are no noticeable buzzing or dead spots, and it's in excellent playing condition.

It comes with a top-quality original hardshell case from Ameritage, known for its superior humidity control.

At the time, there were also models made with P90 or standard-sized humbuckers. There was also a flat-top 360LT. However, it is believed that very few of these were imported into Japan at the time. This particular 360LT features a 1P Honduran construction, arched top, mini-humbuckers, and doghair fur. Finding a 360 with the same specifications on the market is extremely difficult, even globally, especially considering the weak yen. This may be the first and last time a mint-condition example appears in Japan.
