The NVIDIA® Mellanox® MCX516A-CCAT is a high‑performance, dual‑port 100GbE Ethernet network adapter card based on the ConnectX®-5 EN controller. Designed for the most demanding data center, cloud, and high‑performance computing (HPC) environments, this SmartNIC delivers two ports of 100GbE connectivity, ultra‑low latency down to 600‑750ns, and up to 200 million messages per second (Mpps).It features a PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface and is compatible with both tall and short brackets for flexible server deployment.

The MCX516A-CCAT supports multiple Ethernet speeds (100/50/40/25/10/1GbE) on its QSFP28 ports, enabling seamless migration from legacy 10/25/40GbE infrastructures to 100GbE -1. With extensive hardware offloads for RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE), NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe‑oF), and Open vSwitch (OVS), this adapter significantly reduces CPU overhead and boosts overall system efficiency.
