This is a program for a small theater in Hollywood, but it also happens to be a time capsule of amazing indie comics artists and the L.A. Comedy scene.
2005 Issue: Comedy-wise, you get ads for long lost shows by people like Zach Galifinakis, Dave Foley, Joe Lo Truglio, David Wain, Paul F. Thompkins, Kulap Vilaysack, Jon Glover, John Hodgman, and many more. Art-wise, there’s art for this issue done by Richard Sala, Jordan Crane, Ariel Bordeaux, Steven Weissman, Andrew Brandou, Travis Millard (as Travis Fudge), and Rick Altergott. It’s really something to see!
2008 Issue: They let the artist, Travis Millard, really run wild! He designs a different image for every page, does tons of great lettering design, and turns some advertisement into a tour de force. Ads for shows featuring people like Duncan Trussell, Dana Gould, Mark Fite, Max Maven, Kate Micucci, Seth McFarlane, Frank Conniff, and more… To see the power of his art, check out the photos.
