Built at the Corona factory in California, the American Performer Stratocaster combines Fender's exceptional tone and authentic performance with modern, player-friendly specifications to take your performance to new heights.
The American Performer Stratocaster features a Yosemite single-coil pickup that delivers rich, expressive tones.
The Yosemite pickups have a flat staggered pole piece for increased output and a special shellac coating that brings out the natural tone of the coils while reducing howling.
These pickups create dynamic sound ideal for any musical performance.
It also features a Greasebucket tone circuit that does not muddy the sound when toned down, and a push/pull tone knob that keeps the neck pickup on at all pickup positions. The Modern "C" shape of the 9.5 "radial fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets ensures ideal playability for all playing styles.
