Sumio Kurosawa
One of Japan's leading guitar makers.
He has a background of studying traditional techniques in Spain, the heartland of guitar making. His works perfectly balance the passionate sound of Spanish guitars with the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of Japanese luthiers, continuing to captivate many professional musicians and enthusiasts.

This instrument is a custom-made piece with a handwritten label, made in 2000. The decorations and body shape are the same specifications as his representative model, "No. 30."

The soundboard is made of cedar, resulting in a rich harmonics and midrange. The tone is extremely clear, and the volume is abundant. It exudes an overwhelming presence even in solo performances.

The larger body design achieves a deep, enveloping bass. Brilliant treble notes are layered on top of this solid foundation.

The treble strings have excellent response, and even fast passages resonate clearly without becoming muddy. The firm, responsive feel of the strings firmly accommodates powerful touches, enabling dynamic expression.

It features a 640mm scale length, which is comfortable for Japanese hands, achieving both improved playability and rich tonal characteristics.

While there are some burrs on the frets, dents on the soundboard, and chips in the purfling, the string height is good.
