Rare Set of 11 Large Double Damask Linen Napkins – Traditional Buttonhole Feature

The "Double Damask" Quality
These are true double damask, featuring a high thread count that creates a lustrous, reversible pattern. The intricate design features a central field framed by a beautiful border of stylized flowers and classic scrollwork that catches the light with a silky sheen.

Unique Traditional Detail: The Buttonhole
Each napkin features an original, neatly sewn buttonhole in one corner. This rare, traditional feature allowed gentlemen to button the napkin to a shirt or waistcoat button, ensuring it stayed securely in place during multi-course formal banquets.

Size: Generous 21.5" x 21.5" "Banquet" size for full lap coverage.

Condition: Good vintage condition. These are "Estate Fresh" and have not been laundered. Note: As is common with heirloom linens of this age, a few napkins show some discoloration or small storage stains.
I have included close-up shots of these specific areas for full transparency.

Quantity: Matching set of 11.
