Delightful piece from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. This tri colored piece, in my opinion, is representative of the sea, land and the sky. The lower portion in a matte glaze is in a Violet blue hue as the ocean. The central blue band would represent land, with the upper glossy light blue glaze being the sky. It is signed, or rather, initialed by the Artist. Also, Cyprus and the C 33.
Research that I have conducted found one similar piece sold in Europe in the last 5 years. They attributed the time frame as 1970's, possibly from a potter in Nicosia. There are no cracks or chips in this piece. Due to its suggested time frame of production, condition is "Used". Shipped and Insured with USPS Ground Advantage. Thank you for looking.
