Winter onions, Tree Onions, Walking onions, Egyptian  onions , easy to plant,  just trough  on the garden , and water once a week.In winter you can planting in a pot near to the window. 

Outside In winter the onions are under ground and start to regrow in spring.  In summer is good to water if there are not raining.  I am not good for planting anything,  so I know the best for the ones loves onions cultivate this walking onions is a good experience.

When we bought a house from a nice couple , he was 100 years old and his wife 97, (in a really good shape) .First I saw  the onions at backyard.I said "a lot onions there"....he just smile and replied "we love winter onions" it grow and grow..but 2 months later, december, winter, means snow...and no onions...I was wondering  if he had taken 🤔 the onions?...and when start april...bualaaaa onions coming again..now I know the name walking onions..because spread around...but if you don't want spread..just take the seeds top when it grow and you can eat it too.
