An original 1855 Colton's single page map of the Canadian Maritimes which measures 15" x 18".

The atlas, from which this map came, was virtually falling apart with front & back boards detached and and binding fully broken down. Most of the individual maps, though, were untouched.

Used estate condition: taken from 1855 Colton's Atlas of the World- Vol.1 North & South America, Etc; this map is in quite good overall condition but with some foxing, some toning, and some light soiling and staining ( mostly in margin areas ). Also several short creases. If framed, it would make a nice historical presentation.
