 Testing Summary

  • Both keypads connected to lock and powered via 9V battery
  • Verified:
    • Keypad response (LED + audible beep)
    • Communication between keypad and lock
  • Lock does not actuate without correct code (normal behavior - I don't know the code)

Suitable for replacement, repair, or parts use.  Based on condition, likely that one keypad lost a connector pin during use or installation and the keypad was replaced instead of having a pin made. That keypad has now been repaired and tested successfully.

It could be that the original keypad (non lighted) had some issue.   This is an estate sale lot.  The newer keypad looks unused, although the housing shows wear.

What you see is what you get.   I have only examined a couple of gun safe S&G systems and am not an expert, but I can do general repairs.   Once the lighted keypad responded as the older keypad (and I noted pin 1 on the board - slightly different location than older 6120 keypad) I felt confident to sell these components.    I know nothing else about them.
