This early Derby porcelain plate measures approximately 9 3/8" in diameter. It is pattern number 340, and has the puce makers mark used from about 1782 until 1800. It has lovely gold gilding and cobalt blue. This has a fine spider crack starting in the center, that is difficult to see. There is also quite a bit of crazing. There is some wear to the gold trim, and areas of discoloration. There are some small surface blemishes and production flaws, but really an astounding piece of porcelain made over 220 years ago.
