From a private collection built over 20+ years by a specialist in Romanian folk textiles. Each piece is sourced directly from rural Romanian households where these rugs were made and used as family heirlooms.

The traditional scoarță weaving technique has been passed down through generations and was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2016.
