This does not work with batteries as the owner left them in, so there is a tiny bit of corrosion on the end slots. Someone, other than myself may be able to fix that. The plaque itself is in mint condition. The box shows signs of age.

The unit runs on 6-volt Direct Current (DC), which can be provided by an external wall adapter rather than the usual four "C" or "AA" batteries.

This can be wall mounted or sit on a desk.
