- Wide Compatibility: Pit Boss 3-Series, 4-Series, 5-Series, and 7-Series Copperhead vertical wood pellet smokers, specifically for models PBV3P1, PBV4PS1, PBV5P1, PBV5PW1, and PBV7P1 (not for the ONYX edition). It offers 2 PID programs (4PP, 7PP) and 4 OEM programs, each tailored to the respective series. The PID programs allow you to set temperatures with 1-degree precision.
- PID & OEM PROGRAMS: The control unit offers 2 PID programs (4PP, 7PP) and 4 OEM programs (corresponding to Series 3/4/5/7). It enables precise temperature adjustments in 1-degree increments on the 2 PID programs.
- Stepless Temperature Knob: This control panel allows temperature adjustment in 1°F increments on the 2 PID programs
- Pellet-Saving Efficiency: The PID significantly reduces pellet consumption trough fan and auger motor modulation system, ensuring precise temperature control while maximizing fuel efficiency
- TIMER & MEAT PROBE SETTINGS: The themometer controller Features a timer to track cooking duration and an alert system that notifies you when the meat probe reaches the target temperature.
- Real-Time Circuit Monitoring: The grill digital thermostat will alert for Poor Contact/Short Circuits/Overloads of the connected parts
- NOTE: As the grill reaches the set temperature, the PID will cycle the auger motor and fan on and off to achieve a more stable temperature. This will produce a “puffing” sound, which is normal.
- NOTE: If the fault detection system activates due to an out-of-range part load, this grill temperature controller will stop functioning. This doesn’t always indicate full damage. You can bypass the system by turning it off to continue use, but replacing the faulty part promptly is recommended to avoid further issues.
2 PID AND 4 OEM TEMP-CONTROL PROGRAMS
- 2 PID versions (4PP, 7PP) to choose. 4PP is for Pit boss Series 3/4 Vertical Pellet Smoker. 7PP is for Pit boss Series 5/7 Vertical Pellet Smoker.
- 4 OEM temperature controlling programs (3P1, 4P1, 5P1, 7P1) or Pit boss Series 3/4/5/7 Vertical Pellet Smoker respectively.
CONNECTED UNITS FAULT DETECTION SYSTEM
- The controller can monitor the faults (e.g. bad contact, short circuit, open circuit, input/output power out of normal range) of its connected parts (Auger, Ingiter and Fan).
- When a part is detected abnormal, the corresponding icon flickers, error code shows, buzzer beeps, the grill stops working.
MEAT PROBE TARGET TEMPERATURE SETTING
- You can set target temperature(90F to 250F) of your meat probes.
- When the actual temperature of the meat probe reaches or is greater than that of the target temperature, the buzzer beeps. Press any key to dismiss the alerts
