Description
ANTIQUE FABRIC
Wonderful antique cotton/linen blend printed fabric measuring about 43" long and 37" wide. Featuring a repeat pattern of three Victorian children in period clothing, the little boy offers an apple from his basket to the youngest girl while her sister, holding a chalk school tablet, looks on. Done in pink, taupe and red muted tones on a soft tan ground, there are touches of blue in the boy's knickers and children's striped stockings - large apple leaves cover the fabric. I purchased this about fifty years ago from an estate in San Francisco - my intention was to cover a long bench, but just never did.
Condition is very nice with two frayed ends as shown - no holes, tears, discoloration, staining, smells, pets or damage - possibly a hint of aging and fading, but I could not find anything - please note - colors are slightly more muted in person. Think it is a nice, early printed fabric -- wonderful addition to any collection or display!
If questions, please contact me - thanks!
