This is a used PRS HollowBody II Whale Blue.
Manufactured in 2005.
It is fitted with a 20th anniversary truss rod cover.
Although it is not a 10-top, both the top and back have a good look with a solid wood grain.
The HollowBody II uses maple for both the top and back, sandwiching a mahogany center block.
While there is a center block, it is mostly hollow, and the actual weight is a very light 2.49kg.
This guitar is characterized by its airy, sweet, and fresh tone.
The pickups are McCarty Archtop Treble/Bass combinations, developed for hollow-body guitars. They have a mellow, warm tone with rounded edges, and are rare as they are only installed on a limited number of models.
The color is the classic Whale Blue. There is some slight clouding, but the blue hue remains strong, giving it a beautiful appearance.
The neck shape is Wide Fat. The nut width is 42.7mm (measured).
There is no major damage, but the body has some clouding of the paint. The top is cloudy overall, with the clouding being more pronounced near the neck.
The back has significant clouding on the treble side horn.
There are pen-tip sized dents, scratches, and scuffs throughout the body.
Metal parts such as the pickup covers, bar tailpiece, and bridge show some tarnishing, dullness, and minor corrosion.
There are also minor scratches and slight dirt from playing throughout.
The frets have very slight localized wear on the 1st and 2nd frets, but this does not affect playability. Approximately 90% of the frets remain. The truss rod has movement in both tightening and loosening directions.
Functionality has been confirmed. Output and controls are both fine.
Weight: Approximately 2.49kg
A hard case is included.
