Product Description: After deploying to Misawa Air Base the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's 8th Squadron upgraded from the F-1 to the F-4EJ Kai operating it as a support fighter. The aircraft is equipped with air-to-ship guided missiles a unique feature of a support attack aircraft whose mission also includes ground and anti-ship attacks. The squadron has also conducted live-fire bombing training with the F-4EJ Kai during overseas exercises leaving a strong legacy as a support fighter for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. This kit depicts the squadron's F-4EJ Kai in its blue maritime camouflage. By combining it with the Type 80 ASM-1 air-to-ship guided missile and Type 93 ASM-2 air-to-ship guided missile included in the separately sold FP39 Air Self-Defense Force Missile Set you can enhance the aircraft's form as a support fighter. This product is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting. Additional adhesives tools and paints are required for assembly and painting.
