Nanoha Takamachi is the main heroine of the series. She is a bright, kind, and sincere elementary school girl who unexpectedly becomes a magical girl. Even though she starts as an ordinary child, she grows into a brave and dependable character who always tries to understand and help others.
Fate Testarossa is one of the most important characters in the series and Nanoha’s early rival. She is a quiet and expressionless girl dressed in black, and she initially comes into conflict with Nanoha over the Jewel Seeds. However, Fate is far more than a rival, and her story is one of the emotional highlights of the series.
