The photo prints, many from Blood Horse and Thoroughbred Record Magazines, depict racehorse champions from the 1800s through the 1950s. Many of these horses were not only legendary at the track, but went on to sire the fastest racehorses today. Included is a picture of Norfolk, an undefeated horse who ran in the 1800s, sired by the legendary Lexington, a champion living during the Civil War and featured in the book “HORSE” by Geraldine Brooks.
