Vintage powder compact finished in a faux tortoiseshell effect, decorated to the lid with a Royal Air Force winged badge.

A lovely period piece, likely dating to the mid 20th century, with an internal mirror and original powder compartment. The compact has a good mottled tortoiseshell style appearance and displays well closed, with the RAF badge giving it strong military / aviation interest.

The interior still retains the mirror and powder section, though the fabric/puff material is worn and torn with age. There is general surface wear, scratches and age-related marks throughout, and the mirror also shows wear from use. Please study photos carefully for condition.

A nice collectible item for RAF, militaria, aviation or vintage vanity collectors.
