ANTIQUE SEWING COQUILLA NUT FIGURAL LEMON BOX

Interesting and unusual antique hand carved coquilla nut figural sewing box measuring about 2" long by 1-1/2" wide. Featuring a lemon shape, lid simply pulls off and fits snugly - there is a small hole in the lid, assuming for feeding thread or possibly needles.

Condition is wonderful with no damage other than a tight tiny short production line on the edge - amazing that the fine pointed tip has not been damaged with age and use. An unusual antique sewing notion - visually interesting with wonderful folk art appeal - nice addition to any collection or display!
