Book also includes Troilus and Criseyde, The Romaunt of The Rose, Minor Poems, Boece and others. He has been called the 'father of English literature', or alternatively, the 'father of English poetry'. He was the first writer to be buried in what has since become Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey. When Caxton brought the printing press to England in 1476, one of the first major works he printed in England was Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales. It is often described as the first substantial book printed in England, though not the first printed in the English language. There is writing and margin notes in the Canterbury Tales, But the rest seems relatively clean. An excellent reading copy. Tight, and clean.
