DescriptionThese handblown Hadeland glasses from Norway have that unmistakable Scandinavian simplicity—clean lines, no decoration, just form and material doing the work. What makes them stand out is the controlled bubble design. Tiny air bubbles are deliberately trapped within the glass during the blowing process, creating a textured, almost effervescent effect that catches the light from every angle. It’s not random; it’s carefully done, and you can see the consistency across both glasses.

This design is known as the Greenland series — Hadeland Glassverk. They are a distinctive emerald green that deepens toward the base, where the glass thickens, giving it a subtle weight and presence without feeling heavy or clumsy. They sit well in the hand, solid but balanced, and are a good example of Scandinavian design.

Produced by Hadeland in the 1960s–70s, likely during the period of designers such as Willy Johansson or Arne Jon Jutrem, these are a good example of mid-century Norwegian glass—functional, well-made, and in a distinctive emerald green color.
