This exquisite proof medal honors one of the most famous pieces in the Dutch Royal Treasury: the Russian Brooch. The obverse features a refined profile of Queen Máxima alongside a vibrant, colorized depiction of the "Russische Broche"—a diamond bow brooch with hanging pearls that was originally a gift from Grand Duchess Anna Pavlovna of Russia. The reverse displays the Royal Dutch Coat of Arms surrounded by a decorative floral border and the inscription "KONINKRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN."
